Unique and Lovely

Everything was nice and comfortable and made me forget the long trip from Al Ain to reach this place. The only thing the price is too high, although it deserves it, but I wish it was less to go there frequently.

Pricing is too high to go there with family, especially in holidays. The ferry maybe can be more comfortable especially for kids so they don't feel sick

Great island vacation

We enjoyed that it was an island vacation away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The employees were all friendly, professional and helpful. From check-in until we had to leave. We enjoyed some spa treatments, went on the game drive, visited all the different restaurants and experience the different cuisine on the island. It was an adventure for us. They made our stay really memorable. Thank you.

Meals and "forced buffet" are super expensive and sounds like a monopoly since there's no further choices in the island. Definitely a pain point

Over all facilities and room & amenities were excellent.. Above all the exemplary service by the staff and their hospitality need to be plauded.. Want to specifically thank and praise the staff Citra(Front office) , Mounir(Wildlife drive) , Jaffer(Kayaking) and the Horseriding staff to name few...they treated us like royals Food @Palm,Oleo was finglerlicking good too.. Over all, was the best stay cation ever for me and children.. Will recommend to anyone...

The activities could have priced as package options to bring down the costs..

Beautiful Wildlife

Amazing island overall. Lots of wildlife. We really liked the peacocks that would come every morning during breakfast. The hotel staff is very welcoming and very accommodating.

Our room had a little bit of smell (I guess due to high humidity level).

Marvelous hideout with a beach and animal

Tranquility of this place is truly inspiring. You get a perfect beach with almost no one in it. Lots of animals on the premise that live alongside.

It was difficult to find the schedule of the ferry to the island before making the booking. This is an inportant information and it should be publicly available so you dont need to call the hotel.

A great getaway and amazing experience, greatly recommend it! It really felt like a holiday.

The island is great, and it really fells like a getway. It is much bigger than we expected. I enjoyed learning about the history and love the aims for the island to be self sustainable, in producing its own energy, some of its food as well supporting endangered animals, creating a complete ecosystem for nature. All that with the amazing hospitality of Anantara! There were 2 lovely restaurants by the villas, especially liked Olio, both with great food. The service everywhere was great and with lovely staff. Great to be able to move between the various locations. Loved seeing gazelles and peacocks roaming around everywhere.

The main restaurant (pool restaurant - Shams) at the Desert Island resort could be improved. Breakfast was nice, but the rest of the meals ok, but there is room for better selection and quality. As the main restaurant it is a bit lacking for lunch and dinner (becomes very repetitive). The diving center needs to be better organised so that dives happen as planned (significant delays).

- rooms were not clean - staff lazy - no welcome drinks and hospitality etc - while checking out waiting for pick up nothnbv was served like juice or tea - the Arabic tea left at the reception was old

The explorers style perfectly matching the location.

Good stay but not worth the money and the very long drive.

The service & staff were excellent. The beach and pool were really nice. The Safari experience was amazing especially for the kids!

The hotel feels very outdated (old carpets, noisy AC) for the price we paid.. Not much activities for toddlers and little children except for the small kids club. There is not much to do if you are spending 3 days with kids.

AWESOME CHEFS.

The chefs almost everyone of them but a special shoutout for Anand Kumar who made us feel at home by preparing some special Vegetarian dishes for us. Kudos to all the staff apart from the chefs, you guys are doing a great job!

Perhaps, the front desk staff on checkout can be more polite, considerate & helpful.

Nice time, beautiful beach, and animals roaming around.

We decided to stay here out of the three resorts because it had a nice pool, kids room, beach, and several options for food. We glad we did. The beach is beautiful there. The breakfast was a bit limited, but had the essentials (omelet cooking station, cheeses, pastries, fresh juices, etc). Very friendly and professional staff. The pool is excellent for kids. The nice thing about staying on that island is that you can easily visit all the three resorts, so we went to the other ones to see the animals. Pretty cool to see peacocks and deer roaming around.

It is a bit pricey. And the boat has limited timings (to go there only at 12 or 3 p.m.) - would be good to have more options, or to have the boat at 2 p.m. so that guests could check-in at their official check-in time, 3 p.m .

Way below my expectation

The area is quite and calming, the hotel surrounding is clean and taken care of, animals could be found everywhere, the beach was nice and the facilities are nice. The breakfast and the food were ok.

1) the room i checked in was very very old with the wood smell rotten in it. 2) the ac was not working, and the fan speed was so so loud i couldn't sleep the first night. 3) after contacting the night manager he simply said this is it. After calling him more than 6 times he finally agreed to change the room 4) the rooms are old and need of serious maintenance. 5) the way the staff communicate needs serious change and the development of some good manners. Would i repeat it? definitely not
